Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)?
EFT, also known as "tapping," is a therapeutic technique that combines elements of psychology with acupressure. By gently tapping on specific meridian points while focusing on an issue, EFT helps release emotional blocks, reduce stress, and shift limiting beliefs.
How does EFT work?
EFT works by calming the body's stress response, which is regulated by the amygdala in the brain. Tapping on meridian points sends a signal to the nervous system, helping to rewire emotional patterns and reduce the intensity of negative feelings.
What is Root Cause Therapy?
Root Cause Therapy is a deep healing approach that goes beyond surface-level emotions to uncover the core beliefs formed from past experiences also known as Matrix Reimprinting. Often, the challenges we face today stem from unconscious patterns created in response to difficult moments in our past. These moments shape our beliefs about ourselves and the world—beliefs that may no longer serve us.
With Root Cause Therapy, we can safely revisit these moments, bring awareness to the beliefs we formed, and gently repattern them. This process allows us to release what is holding us back and create new, empowering ways of thinking and being.
Do I need any experience with EFT or other healing methods?
Not at all! You don’t need any prior experience with EFT, meditation, or other healing techniques. I will guide you through the entire process in a simple and supportive way. Whether you’re completely new to this kind of work or have been on a healing journey for years, EFT is easy to learn and effective for everyone.
What can EFT help with?
EFT is effective for a wide range of emotional and physical challenges, including:
Anxiety and stress
Trauma and PTSD
Phobias and fears
Negative self-beliefs
Emotional blocks
Inner child healing
Self-confidence and self-worth
Relationship challenges
Chronic pain and physical symptoms linked to emotions
What happens in an intro session?
The introductory session lasts 1.5 hours and includes a consultation. This allows time to explore what’s coming up for you, understand your goals, and introduce the techniques in a way that feels comfortable and supportive. We’ll discuss your history, any specific challenges you’re facing, and begin using EFT or Root Cause Therapy to start shifting patterns.
How long is a regular session?
A regular session lasts 1 hour and is focused on deepening the healing process. Whether we’re working through a specific issue or continuing the work from a previous session, this time is dedicated to exploring and transforming emotional patterns at a pace that feels right for you.
What happens in an EFT session?
During a session, we start by discussing the issue you’d like to work on. I will guide you through tapping on specific points while exploring thoughts, emotions, and memories that may be connected to the issue. With this work we stay dissociated from the trauma part while holding it with deep love and compassion. The process is intuitive, gentle, and tailored to your needs.
Do I have to talk about my past or trauma in detail?
Not at all. EFT can be effective even if you don’t share details of past experiences. We work with the emotions and sensations that arise in the present moment, allowing healing without the need for reliving past trauma.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies depending on the individual and the issue being addressed. Some people experience noticeable shifts in just one session, while deeper, long-standing patterns may require multiple sessions for lasting change.
Is EFT scientifically backed?
Yes! Studies have shown that EFT can significantly reduce stress, anxiety, and trauma symptoms. Research has demonstrated its effects on lowering cortisol (the stress hormone) and improving emotional well-being.
Is EFT safe?
Yes, EFT is a safe and non-invasive method that can be used by people of all ages. It is gentle and designed to work at your own pace, ensuring you feel supported throughout the process.
Can I do EFT on my own?
Absolutely! One of the great things about EFT is that you can use it as a self-help tool. I provide guidance and deeper insight in sessions, but you can continue tapping on your own between sessions for ongoing support.
What if I don’t believe EFT will work for me?
EFT works whether or not you believe in it! It is based on how the body and brain respond to stress and emotions, not on belief. If you’re open to trying, you may be surprised by the results.
